Steelseries has been hard at work yet again, this time working on the new Siberia v2 headset. Further improving on the original Siberia headset released back in 2004 Steelseries has taken feedback from consumers aboard and adapted an “invisible” retractable microphone system, allowing the user to pull down then mic when needed and tuck it away into the left ear cup when it is no longer required. This versatile design allows you to have a comfortable, convenient and travel-friendly experience whether it be listening to music at home, or taking part in tournaments.
If the Siberia v2 is anything like its predecessor it will offer a rich and vibrant listening experience, using its increased 50mm speakers to amplify bass and overall volume as well as improve the frequency response to 10-28,000 Hz. Designed from the ground up for professional gamers, the Siberia V2 features a closed cup design, keeping sounds from the outside world out of your head, and providing a clear soundscape to pick up on every last movement on the battlefield.
Bruce Hawver, CEO of SteelSeries had this to say:
“Every element of the Siberia v2 has been optimized for pro-gaming, making this headset a preferred piece of equipment for the world’s best competitive PC gamers. What’s even more impressive is that the headset is multifunctional with its ability to deliver an unparalleled audio experience for music lovers and VOIP users.”
